About Supported Operating Systems

A new version of a supported desktop or mobile operating system may not be supported immediately upon its release. It is recommended that you do not upgrade student testing devices until the operating system version is supported. ETS is aware that when an LEA attempts to download a student score data file that the report does not appear in the [Requested Reports] tab. It will appear once the report has been completed and is ready for download. LEAs will be notified by email when the report is ready to be downloaded. Please do not request the report multiple times.

Resolution: ETS is working on correcting this issue.

In the ELPAC Audio module in TOMS that is used for the Initial ELPAC paper-pencil test, resizing the window causes the screen’s text to be partially hidden. The horizontal scroll bar does not appear to display what is on the right side of the screen, and the text does not wrap.

Workaround: At this time, please avoid resizing the Audio module window when doing so prevents text from displaying fully on the screen.

ETS is aware that reports being processed for all TOMS users are displayed in the [Requested Reports] tab. ETS has confirmed that the completed reports are not available to any but the user who requested them.

The creation of LEA/School export files and student groups is currently unavailable in CERS. ETS is currently working to resolve this as soon as possible.

ETS is aware that a small number of students may have had their ELAS status replaced with TBD within TOMS, and is currently working to resolve this as soon as possible. At this time, the change to the student ELAS will not impact them.

Microsoft Outlook 365 is blocking TOMS emails with LEA download links.

ETS discovered that LEAs using Microsoft Outlook 365 as their email service provider are not receiving emails from TOMS that contain download links. ETS is currently working with Microsoft directly to resolve this issue.

At this time, student profiles are not opening within TOMS.

A data column in the Student Score Data File, called "Student Removed from CALPADS File Date," was populating incorrectly.

Resolution: This issue is resolved. ETS reran the reports so this information is now correct in the Student Score Data File and represents the date the student appeared in the exit file received from CALPADS. Please note that this information is listed in the report for information only and so does not affect student scores or the information in the Test Results for California's Assessments website.

Newly enrolled students that tested in a different LEA are not included in the Student Score Data File.

Resolution: This issue is resolved. Newly enrolled students that tested in a different LEA are available in the Student Score Data File.

The ELAS status has not been updating in TOMS since August 24, 2023, for students completing the Initial ELPAC and Initial Alternate ELPAC. The updated ELAS of the student can be viewed on the student's SSR.

Resolution: This issue is now resolved. The updated ELAS status is available in TOMS.

The Initial ELPAC Student Score Report Data file is not currently returning any results when run.

Resolution: The Initial ELPAC Student Score Report Data file is now populating correctly.

The Transitional Kindergartner (TK) indicator in TOMS is not populating correctly. TK students are being converted to Kindergartners in TOMS so they are able to test Initial ELPAC. It is only the indicator that is not populating at this time.

Resolution: The TK indicator is now populating correctly in TOMS.

The 2023–24 Initial ELPAC Student Score Reports (SSRs) in Spanish for all grade levels and in Traditional Chinese for kindergarten were produced displaying the 2022–23 test administration year instead of 2023–24. This issue applies only to the test administration year shown; scores and other content in the SSRs are correct for the 2023–24 test administration.

Resolution: The 2023–24 Initial ELPAC SSRs showing the incorrect test administration were removed and replaced. The corrected SSRs displaying the 2023–24 test administration year were made available on August 14, 2023.

ETS was unable to process the file from CALPADS. This means that any changes to demographic data that LEAs uploaded via CALPADS on August 1, 2023, will not be processed by all testing systems until tomorrow (August 3, 2023). This includes updates to the TESTING ELAS of students who completed the Initial ELPAC assessment on August 1, 2023.

Resolution: This issue has been resolved.

The Student Score Data File for the Initial ELPAC and Initial Alternate ELPAC for the 2023–24 administration is currently unavailable. Students who completed testing will still receive an SSR and updated English Language Acquisition Status (ELAS).

Resolution: This issue has been resolved. The Student Score Data File for the Initial ELPAC and Initial Alternate ELPAC for the 2023–24 administration is now available.
